On 9 October 2017 Dr Ronan McDermott (University College Dublin) provided training to Jesuit Refugee Service staff in Bogotá in the use of KoboToolbox and KoboCollect for digital data collection.  The training covered the creation of a survey form, the use of the form using an Android device as well as data management and analysis using the Kobo platforms.  The use of digital data collection techniques drastically reduces time and administrative costs when conducting surveys.  As a result it is particularly suited to challenging environments and is widely used by humanitarian and development professionals.  Digital data collection has been used to conduct surveys in Jakarta and Bogotá as part of the PRUV project.  A short video describing KoboToolbox can be found below.
